When I'm Small Song Lyrics
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Lucy's underground
She's got a mouth to feed
Am I underground
Or am I in between
Lucy's underground
She's got a mouth to feed
Am I underground
Or am I in too deep
Show me love
You've got your hand on the button now
Showin' love
You've got your hand on the button now
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Lucy's underground,
She's never comin' back
Am I still alive
Or has the light gone black
Take me underground
Take me all the way
Bring me to the fire
Throw me in the flame
So, show me love
You've got your hands on the button now
Showin' love
You've got your hand on the button now
I'd rather die,
I'd rather die,
Than to be with you
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
(than to be with you)
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
(I'd rather die)
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh

This electro rock, dream pop, electronica, and trip-hop band Phantogram consisting of two people – a guy and a girl – this time made dream rock pop lasting 4:11. The action evolves on the background of black and white and the clip itself deprived of colors unless they are as if accents on some bright dress of the soloist or anything similar.
The girl soloist is active, audacious and beautiful bud dumb a little, as for us. She effectively shakes with her breasts, emphasizing not the music, but her mammary glands, which isn’t the sign of a good performer and of a high level.
‘When I’m Small’ doesn’t have the Wiki page, and the band has too small information about this song on their own, so we addressed other sources and found out they are describing their album containing this song as ‘Darkadelic’ – which is a combination of dark + psychedelic.
For this song, the band Phantogram was even accused of plagiarism by Portishead's Geoff Barrows, who allegedly wrote the sequence of the beats, used in one of his songs, but this issue wasn’t raised to the court and the man from Phantogram, Josh Carter, dispelled the accusations.
The essence of the lyrics of the song can be multiple. First, they may sing of act of copulation, judging from these lines:
‘Or am I in too deep
Show me love
You've got your hand on the button now
Showin' love’
Also, it can be about dark and scary places, judging from these lines:
‘Lucy's underground,
She's never comin' back
Am I still alive
Or has the light gone black’
Next, it can be about the deadly unwillingness of being with a person – when they tell they would rather die than to be with somebody. This is an extreme dissatisfaction with a human being – so strong anticipation that it could overwhelm the desire of living, which, as you know, is the most powerful instinct of any person (well, maybe except suicide fellows).
The lines are many here, but the essence is rather too little, as they keep repeating one and same lines throughout the song.
What differs this music band from the rest? First of all, they always do dark, but not sullen gloomy clips. Thus, they feel the line, after which clip starts to be unreasonably gothic. The second is they are fly and adult enough to understand that their creativity must attract, not be repulsive. The third thing is that the both band’s members aren’t too smart and that is why they write not too epic but clear and comprehensive lyrics, which is lightly perceived by many people and the army of their fans may grow, ideally, faster than of the other bands with the same style and performance’s prerequisites. Basically speaking, the easier in words – the better. It works every time. If you are the sophisticated person, you’d better listen to Evanescence, as the soloist Amy makes much more fogged lyric all the time.
Be sure to listen to their 3 studio albums and watch more that 7 official clips.
