This reprise provides a wrap-up for Doris and Dudley while also honoring the relationship between Carrie and Mollie Hay in a direct and heartfelt way. Initially, at the Public Theater, the reprises for the two couples were performed back to back. However, I quickly realized during that run (unfortunately, after the show was frozen) that these reprises would be more effective if overlaid as one.
