Girl from the North Country Lyrics
Girl from the North Country Song Lyrics
If you're traveling the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Remember me to one who lives there
For she once was a true love of mine.
If you go when the snowflakes storm
When the rivers freeze and summer ends
Please see if she has a coat so warm
To keep her from the howlin' winds.
Please see if her hair hangs long
If it rolls and flows all down her breast
Please see for me if her hair's hanging long
For that's the way I remember her best.
I'm a-wonderin' if she remembers me at all
Many times I've often prayed
In the darkness of my night
In the brightness of my day.
So if you're travelin' the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Remember me to one who lives there
She once was the true love of mine.

Bob Dylan sang a soul song of 3:18 with his charming voice, which was not yet so cynical in his youth. In this clip we see Bob, which is beautiful & full of life. His hooked nose is prettier, but the ability to harmonica’s play is already great. This song may be played on Christmas, when people are in not so very good mood – then it is OK to surrender completely to melancholy with sparkling drinks in your glass. And to look at the Milky Way, which has changed since the dinosaurs.
