Kevin Hart and Ed Helms represent their mutual work on Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. These elderly people are comedian workers and they voice the main characters of this film: George Beard, and Mr. Benjamin Krupp / Captain Underpants.
As Kevin Hart rightly tells, Captain Underpants is not a superhero – he is a dumb person having no brains that became the biggest problem of two little kids that unintentionally turned him into some sort of freaky dumbster.
The essence is about a principal who has become a Captain Underpants and walks around the city doing unprecedented dumbness and people beholders suppose to laugh about it. We aren’t sure for what category of viewers this film was made, but it seems for us that for 0-3 years – as no one else would find this moronic person and idiotic film amusing.
The soundtrack is full of pop songs that incorporate the Lord notion in their lyrics if to take a few: ‘A Friend Like You’ is soaked with god, ‘Captain Underpants Theme Song’ (and we don’t wonder at all that this thing was done by Weird Al Yankovic) is not but it is about representing the barmy hero, ‘Hallelujah’ is a remake of original Leonard Cohen’s thing with the Lord with fascinating lyrics.
The film will be released on June 2, and if you have anything else better to do – anything else literally would do, like sleeping or taking a bath – you would miss this movie without losing anything at all. Only if you have kids of the stated-above age, you should stick to the screen, but nobody prevents you from listening to music through the earphones or checking on Facebook simultaneously (if it only would not disturb others because of your bright phone screen).
The budget figures aren’t known yet but we are sure that the comedy part of this ‘oeuvre’ will do it well.
